Garbhabhyangam is a traditional massage technique which is part of the Ancient Ayurvedic Tradition: a gentle technique that is inspired by the month-wise development of the baby, meant to support the physiology as well as the psychology of the mother to be. During this course you will be introduced to the massage technique, the optimal position during the treatment according to the gestational stage as well as simple self care routine, breathing techniques and asanas, that you will be able to transfer to the mother to be to support her journey.

Who is this course for?​
This course doesn't cover the basis of touch and general anatomy, it is therefore not suitable to absolute beginners. The course is suitable for:

Professionals in the field of Ayurveda, such as Practitioners and Therapists

Birth Professionals, such as Birth and Postpartum Doulas, Midwives and Kraamzorg

How will you learn?
Theory and practice are crafted to support each other, making you confident and able to offer the tools passed on at the end of the 3 day training course.
During the in-person classes:

the teachers will demonstrate each set of techniques in detail and hands-on, offering feedback meant to increase your skills and confidence

you will be working with several partners, practicing each set of techniques on them

you will experience each technique by receiving it yourself

The correct position of the pregnant woman as she receives, according to gestational phase

Basic breathing techniques, asana, dietary and lifestyle advises you can safely share with your client
